2020-2021 Season

Our Basketball Program will consist of the following age groups this year: In-House Co-Ed Clinic (Kindergarten and “First-Timers in 1st or 2nd Grade), 1st/2nd Grade Boys and Girls Community Programs, and our Competitive County Programs for advanced 3rd Grade (8U) thru 9th Grade (14U) boys and girls.

Our Programs & Registration

 The GHAA Basketball Program normally consists of the following

In-House Clinic Program – Fee $80.00 

This coed program is designed for boys and girls in kindergarten and first grade or any second-grader who is new tbasketball or who chooses to participate in the Clinic rather than the Community league. The Clinic program will practice two nights a week beginning in December. In January, clinic participants will be placed into teams and there will be one night of practice and one night of games between the clinic teams

There is no weekend commitment for the Clinic program

Community League – Fee $100.00 

The Community League is for second and third graders.  The Community teams will practice two nights a week and play games primarily on Saturdays, but it is possible there may be a Sunday game. Practices will begin in late November.

The number of GHAA community teams will be determined based on registration numbers and availability of coaches. This league offers a girls division and a boys division and competes against teams from area athletic associations. Games will begin in December and run until February.

 

County League – Fee $165.00 

The County League offers play to both boys and girls. To participate in the County League, players MUST be 8 years old prior to September 1, 2020. The County league offers leagues from 8U – 13U (generally 3rd grade – 8th grade)

The number of teams in each age group will be determined by registration numbers and availability of coaches.

Eligibility

Anne Arundel County Parks & Rec Age Requirements

Eligibility to play is determined by the player’s age as of September 1st…meaning if your son or daughter turns 9 on or after September 2nd, they are eligible to play on the 8U team. AACP&R requires that all players be a minimum age of 8 before participating in their county sponsored league For those not old enough to play we will have our clinic and community league.
